Twenty Credits: January 30th, 2022

I’ve knitted three versions of the “Oslo hat”—this is the third.

This past Monday marked the beginning of the Spring 2022 semester at Johns Hopkins. Having had a challenging start to my junior year of college back in August, it’s safe to say I was nervous going into what I can assume will be an even more challenging three-month stretch. At the moment, my course schedule is a bit intimidating: on top of seventeen credits of basic science (Cell Biology, Neuroscience: Cellular and Systems II, and Biochemistry Project Lab, just to name a few), I’ve applied for three credits of independent academic work at the Dawson Lab—a total of twenty credits.

A few (mouse) brain sections I plated at the Dawson Lab.

I should also mention that I’m working as a T.A. for Biochemistry throughout this semester, which means I get to attend every single biweekly lecture for the next three months. But the professors are awesome, and I get paid—I can’t complain about that.
